Sapphic Soiree & Maybe Someday

Join the Seattle Dyke March and Seattle Queer Film Festival for a night of Sapphic fun as we co-present a Sapphic Soiree and the film: Maybe Someday.

Join us for a Sapphic meetup at WildRose prior to our screening of Maybe Someday! Dancing, music, drinks, and sapphics will be abundant!
This is a free event. Tickets for the film are not included.

Michelle Ehlen (writer, director, and star of MAYBE SOMEDAY) comes back to SQFF (HETEROSEXUAL JILL and S&M SALLY) with a drama about love, friendship, and finding yourself after a breakup. Jay is moving to LA after separating from her wife. Along the way she stops to visit her high school best friend Jess, who she used to be secretly in love with, and ends up staying for a while to sort her life out. As she settles in to her new life, she meets Tommy, an amateur standup comedian who becomes her new gay best friend as they bond over comedy and life’s hard knocks. Ehlen brings a hopeful and entertaining story about self-realization and getting through the hard times, reminding us that we really do get by with a little help from our chosen family!

Sway: A Pride Dance

Friday, June 24th, we’ll be lighting up this incredible space in honor of Pride to celebrate PNW’s finest social queers. DJ Nudie will be spinning everything from 70s and 80s to House music to Pop Rock. We anticipate the energy of a group who has waited on the sidelines for the last two years, eagerly anticipating the return of the glorious holiday that is Pride. Dear friends, it is time to make up for 2020 and 2021! We are thrilled to share that this will be one of the more accessible Pride events, with tickets at $10.

The Social Queer is teaming up with the historic Century Ballroom and legendary Dyke March to host a FRIDAY NIGHT PRIDE DANCE PARTY!!!

Located in the heart of Capitol Hill, Century Ballroom is a Seattle institution where many LGBTQ+ members have come together to master their dance technique.

Attendees must show proof of vaccination as of at least two weeks prior to the dance.  Masks are highly encouraged when attending drop-in lessons and dances.
